Hello, how are you?
We're Guillaume and Maxime, two Quebec entrepreneurs who've been navigating digital and languages for over a decade. Like many Web agencies and business managers, we've had our heads broken more than once when it comes to translating multilingual sites. At best, the popular alternatives only partially met our needs. It was a recurring problem. And because it's in our nature, we came up with a solution.
In January 2025, we explored the idea of creating a simple tool that would combine the power of AI with human intervention in translation. Less than a year later, we launched Tricot - an innovative plugin of our core expertise, developed entirely here in Quebec.

Father of two boys and owner of a language services agency since 2014, I've always been drawn to entrepreneurship and creation. Doing business in a market completely transformed by AI, I remain convinced of the essential contribution of human expertise in translation, a vision perfectly aligned with Tricot's: to offer a high-performance tool, powered by new technologies, where the human can intervene at any time.

The problem
Translating and maintaining a WordPress site in several languages is a challenge. The solutions available are technical, expensive and packed with complex and unnecessary features. Every change can cause the fragile multilingual system to break down.
Site managers are dependent on their suppliers to keep their content up to date, agencies must continually hold their clients' hands, costs are ever-increasing and results rarely convincing. Yet managing a multilingual site should be simple.
The solution
Tricot is our answer. A WordPress plugin designed to be robust, accessible and powerful.
